3G PRODUCT MANAGER

MY CLIENT licences 3G Access Point technology to partners such as Home Gateway providers to build into their own products.

The 3G AP Partners Product Manager is responsible for defining the structure of the product offering to partners in relation to hardware and software toolkits together with associated documentation and training. There will be different forms of toolkit oriented towards different customers and network architectures, therefore it is important that the product offers sufficient flexibility to meet customer needs while allowing the architecture to evolve in a controlled manner.

Accountabilities:


· · Management of own product line which includes specifications and product roadmap and covers stable releases covering generic customer needs. Ensure plan is communicated to key customers

· · Definition of the components of the partner product covering hardware, software, documentation, training and, support structure.

· · Work closely with CLIENTS CPE team (HW/SW) to understand implementation architecture and planned evolution

· · Manage variations on standard partner product for implementation by THE CLIENT.

· · Communicate with Sales Function on product concepts, advance features, upgrade issues

· · Providing Pre-Sales support in relation to responding to customer technical questions and attending customer meetings when required

· · Represent MY CLIENT and be the technical prime at customer meetings. Make sure partners understand the scope of the product offering and the division of responsibility and produce documentation that defines the integrated approaches to be taken with customer products.

· · Support partners in RFI/RFQ responses and work to agreed deadlines in response to customer queries.

· · Ensure support is provided in post sale activity and a good working relationship is in place with the customer which focuses on providing strong customer account management support. Ensure regular meetings take place and all action points are covered and followed through to conclusion.

· · Providing support and assistance to the Marketing function for conference and exhibitions.

Role Requirements:

· · Must have a good technical degree with experience of having worked on development of small telecom/datacom networking products in an engineering development role.

· · Good understanding and knowledgeable of hardware / software toolkit products in a customer facing role. Eg Product Management, Applications Engineer or Sales Engineer.

· · Knowledge of 3G RAN and IP networking and network management
