Pensions Specialist
My client is a non-departmental public body that has been established to advise and assist the secretary of the state with the setting up of the Personal Account Delivery Scheme.
You will be part of the product and policy Development teams and will be responsible for providing policy expertise to ensure its compliant and follows legislation. You will be responsible for developing the scheme requirements and ensuring it meets its objectives of being an affordable and low cost pensions scheme.
Job Overview
You will be a Technical Pensions expert and contribute to the development and implementation of the scheme.
Job Role
* Deliver a complete and cohesive set of requirements for the personal accounts scheme
* Make recommendations to the deliver authority's board and to Ministers on the provisions of the scheme, based on appropriate levels of analysis or available evidence and in collaboration with internal board committees.
* To liaise with and instruct lawyers on the drafting of the scheme's legal requirements and documentation in compliance with UK pensions law and best practice.
Candidate Requirements
* Extensive track record of working in a Pensions Management or Assistant Pensions Manager capacity in a In-house Pension Scheme, or a highly experienced Pensions consultant from a Employee Benefit consultancy, or a qualified actuary with technical pensions scheme development experience.
* Experience of large defined contribution pensions schemes
* End to end operational and delivery knowledge to include employee payroll, contribution collection, and investment, payment of benefits, member communications, governance and systems.
* working knowledge of UK pension legislation affecting occupational DC schemes.
* APMI qualified or equivalent (e.g. FIA,LLB)
