Power Suppliy Design Engineer

New position with the R&D team of a successful international company who are probably the World's Number 1 design/manufacturer of OEM power supplies. Their pedigree goes back over 35 years offering award-winning and industry-leading products for the IT, Telecom, Automotive and Consumer Electronics industries developing a broad variety of products such as flat screen TV's, projectors, solar fuel cells, power supply & networking units.

The position is for a Design Engineer able to design/develop, fault find, bench test and make improvements on circuit design of SMPS and power conversion systems. You'll need a good understanding of SMPS's, power conversion, requirements for EMC, Safety and manufacturing considerations. Experience and understanding of different topologies such as: Buck, Boost (PFC), Forward, Full Bridge and varying power ranges would be useful, but not essential.
