We are now looking for a Head of Legal and Compliance.

You will be responsible for the running of the Legal, Compliance and Company Secretarial function. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
* Providing legal advice to the company on various issues, including equity and collectives work, offshore bond, tax and trusts as well as general corporate/commercial advisory work.
* Reporting regularly to the Board on the state of compliance within the company.
* Making decisions on internal compliance queries, liaising with management and the FSA, as appropriate.
* Interpreting and advising on revised regulations, consultation papers and other documentation issued by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
* Active participation in the day to day running of the Integrated Financial Arrangements plc group of companies as part of the senior management team.

You must be a qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate from the Solicitors' Regulatory Authority.
You must possess a thorough understanding of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and of the FSA Handbook. Management experience gained in an in-house environment in a regulatory or financial services field is also a pre-requisite for applicants.
You should be commercially astute and willing to undertake a broad range of commercial and corporate work.
You should have excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to balance the needs of the business against regulatory requirements.

You will be conscientious, pro-active and a team player. A cheerful disposition and the ability to make us laugh would be a bonus.
