Freelance Project Director

Project Director - Top 5 digital agency - 6 month contract - £300 - 350 day rate.

This Top 5 Digital Marketing Agency seeks talented Project Director with project management experience in the digital arena.

Overview
Responsible for the overall direction and management of projects through designated project managers, ensuring consistency with corporate strategy, consistency of process across projects and client satisfaction. Must be experienced using Agile and managing large budgets.

Deliverables
* Work with both the Client Services and the Project Management teams to help structure projects appropriately from the outset - this is aimed at improving the ability to deliver projects consistently and on time, within budget and to quality
* Establish, manage and develop the Project Office
* Provide support to the Head of Project Management in the recruitment, retention, review, motivation, training and mentoring of project management staff
* Ensure clients are satisfied with the project delivery process (work with the Client Services Director on client satisfaction)
* Ensure satisfactory liaison with clients and departments (e.g. technology) at project level
* Support Account Directors and others to share our delivery process with clients
* Take an active role in new business pitches where appropriate
* Take an active role in project delivery and be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and to quality

Requirements
* Educated to degree standard - business-related degree
* Responsible for European/global projects with multiple stakeholders and with a minimum value of £500,000 to £1 million
* 7+ years of Project Management experience on custom-designed, full life-cycle projects
* Strong interpersonal and people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire
* Expert knowledge and best practice approach for project management
* Exceptional consulting and client management skills
* Experience in mobile, web, fixed media is desirable
* Strategic planning, programme management, group motivation and discipline, imagination and diplomacy
