Role Profile
Our client, a leading parcel and home delivery distribution business, is looking to recruit a confident, experienced and strategic Procurement Director to be based in the North West. This position is responsible for supporting the Finance Director in the planning and implementing of procurement strategy across the organisation. As a new role to the business you will be responsible for strategic sourcing and total cost removal from assigned direct and indirect commodities, by identifying the business opportunities for efficient procurement activity, and to effectively influence both buyers and budget holders.

You should possess the enthusiasm, determination and gravitas to develop important relationships, influence key stakeholders and make the role of Strategic Sourcing Director your own. The following skills and experience are required:
*Educated to degree standard or professional equivalent.
*Progressive experience gained in a fast moving, delivery focused Procurement Function.
*Substantial hands-on experience of Purchasing
*Ability to influence external bodies and technology suppliers to deliver benefit to the business.
*Comfortable with IT and new technology.
*An entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership & influencing skills.
