Job Description
Kier Facilities Services, part of Kier Support Services, have a vacancy for a Resident Maintenance Engineer. KFS are based in Basingstoke but you would be based at our client's site in the Old Bailey area of London.This is a permanent, full time role and is "hands on" with an element of administration, site and sub-contractor supervision.
Requirements
Professional, electrically biased engineer (ideally 17th Edition) with experience gained in a similar resident type role. Competent and informed in M&E, HVAC, & BMS. Ability to communicate with people at all levels. Knowledge of basic computer packages: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Responsibilities
Principal DutiesWill include but are not limited to: The Planned Preventative Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical assets. To work within the Site Services Department, dealing with all building maintenance issues. To manage and comply with the building's Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule. To provide a reactive call out service to all reactive calls, issues and building faults as they occur and resolve, contain or make safe as appropriate. To co-ordinate, work with and supervise specialist sub-contractors. To assist with building layouts and changes when necessary. To be responsible for ordering equipment & fittings required and to maintain stock levels, working within allocated budgets. Maintaining Site Log Book. To ensure statutory Inspections are performed by the required dates. To liaise with the KFS Help Desk and Senior Engineers on a daily basis.
