Our client is one of the largest regional law firms and still continuing to expand. At present they have a vacancy within their Employment team to be based in Birmingham.
The Birmingham employment was established in 2006 and is now a team of 4. The team forms part of the Midlands unit within the employment department and together with Nottingham, consists of 2 partners, 5 associates and 4 solicitors.
The Birmingham team comprises partner and 2 associates along with an NQ, who trained at the firm. The team is continuing to go from strength to strength both regionally and nationally.

The vacancy is for a solicitor with ideally 3 years post qualified experience or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be dealing with a client base including BP, Debenhams, Thomas Cook, One Stop Stores as well as a number of regional firms. In addition to providing standalone employment advice, you will provide advice on the employment related aspects arising from corporate and property transactions for household named clients.

The successful candidate will be exposed to a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious work and will need to be able to demonstrate past experience of the same.
As an active member of the team you will relish the opportunity to get involved in the various aspects of
managing and developing a team e.g. admin, marketing, performance management, delivering client training.
The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in the delivery of the team marketing plan with a focus on expanding the team's client base and encouraged to build and manage your own client relationships.
It is likely that the successful candidate come from a City or comparable regional firm, have good experience of non-contentious and contentious work, experience of supervising a number of team members.
