About Our Client
Our client is a top 10 specialist Mechanical and Electrical company based in Birmingham. They have been established for over 40 years and have a company turnover of £200million. They complete a range of projects nation wide which vary between £1m to £50million in value. Despite the current economic climate, the company is going from strength to strength and has a full order book until at least 2012.

About the Role

- Delivering projects on time and to the standards of the company and its clients.
- Representing the company by being a key contact for clients.
- Working both independently and as part of a team.
- Providing astute cost management advice, financial reporting as well as negotiating.
- Cost planning at all stages of design, interim valuations, managing change control and final accounts.
- Participate in presentations and meetings when required plus contribute to proposal documentation and team business plans.
- Measuring bills of quantities
- Working with mechanical and electrical specifications on a daily basis
- Will be working closely with the Commercial Manager on jobs which can range in to the tens of millions

About the Candidate

- Must have a vast knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical industry
- Must have a solid Quantity Surveying background.
- Able to work confidently as an individual and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for taking responsibility for delivering projects on time and to standard.
- A confident, good communicator with the social skills to motivate a diverse project team with stakeholders at all levels.
