This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join my client who is a world leader in Turbine technology

The role holder will be responsible for the design requirements, task planning, and execution to an agreed budget. The role will include working with other engineers involved in the machines development.

The role of the team is to apply the latest research and development to industrial steam turbines.

This role will:
Undertake work associated with the mechanical design associated with the stressing and vibration analysis of rotating and stationery parts of the
turbine
Cover all aspects of turbine operation including start-up and shutdown.
Involve working with other engineers involved in the machines development.

Key competencies for this role are:
Design of rotating machines
Stressing of rotating shafts
Blade vibration
Rotor dynamics
Design of components under creep conditions

Educational Requirements
Mechanical Engineering Degree
Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming chartered
Preferably experience in Steam or Gas turbines
Experience
Experience of the mechanical design of Steam or Gas turbines, in particular in the Power Industry and working with Steam or Gas turbines
