Training/ Learning & Development consultant

HR CAREERS are currently recruiting a TRAINING CONSULTANT - PERMANENT UP TO £32,000 - WORKING WITH THE GROUP TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Purpose of the Role

To work as a key part of a business team across a number of businesses to identify and develop business training requirements to support the business targets identify and implement.

Duties
1. Using effective training needs analysis, the training consultant will work with the senior business teams to formulate development plans to support the achievement of business targets.
2. To design, delivery and evaluation of training interventions across the businesses in order to meet specific business requirements.
3. To identify and manage external training partnerships by identifying the specific business requirements, sourcing external providers, agreeing service levels, coordinating delivery and evaluating the business benefits.
4. To provide information and support to businesses with regards to funding opportunities, vocational qualifications, basic skills training and other NVQ and technical training as appropriate.
5. To provide an advice and consultancy service to the businesses in respect of development requirements
6. To ensure that training procedures and systems are understood and that the quality standards are adhered to.
7. To work with managers, union learning representatives and employees to create an environment where employees actively participate in learning and development activities and take ownership of their development.
8. To work with the businesses to support the delivery of their people plans
9. To work with other training professionals from other areas to capitalise on group wide opportunities.
10. To ensure training timescales are met by undertaking training & development administrative activities.
11. Liaise with Training Admin support to ensure that training records are maintained and accurately recorded.
Person Profile
* CIPD qualified or equivalent training qualification
* Previous experience of identifying training needs, design and delivery of effective training solutions and evaluate the business impact
* Previous experience of working in a commercial business with general business knowledge and understanding
* Knowledgeable about the development marketplace and infrastructure across the UK e.g. Sector Skills Councils, LCS, colleges and training providers
* Excellent communication & influencing skills and the ability to manage relationships at all levels within a business
* Excellent personal management and administrative capabilities
* Ability to handle a varied, flexible and geographically spread workload whilst meeting deadlines
* Ability to regularly drive and travel across the UK is an essential part of the role
* Overnight stays may also be a requirement of the role.
