Kier Construction Ltd delivers civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects throughout the UK and provides a full building and civil engineering service internationally.

Requirements


Kier Construction is recruiting for a Chief Engineer with Major Projects experience to be based in London. The role will involve management and control of the project design from feasibility through design to hand over, construction and hand back. Previous experience working on Major Civil Projects is must!!



The role will include interfacing with subcontractors (consultants and contractors) as well as Client Design teams. The successful applicant will need to maintain a clear understanding of all design issues, including contractual, applicable standards, commissions, specification, deliverables and performance relating to in-house and contracted design.

Responsibilities


The engineering function will include:
- Planning the Works
- Working Methods Temporary works design Managing the interface between the Clients Design teams Vetting the supply chains methods Managing the certification of temporary works Quality Management Environmental Management Document Control Change Management Ensuring compliance with Planning Conditions Commissioning and associated documentation Technical Material Management Production of productivity, construction, design, safety, environment and quality metrics.

The Individual


Candidates will be qualified with a degree in Civil Engineering or similar (Chartered status is preferable) and will have a proven background gained on major heavy civil engineering contracts including tunnelling, marine and piling projects.This is an excellent career opportunity for suitably qualified individual, which offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
