Key to their future development is the appointment of an Estimator for the small works & planned maintenance team reporting directly into the Divisional Director.

Essential skills
* Comprehensive knowledge of small works, cyclical decorations and planned maintenance value £10k-2m
* Previous experience is essential
* Recognised qualification ideally in Building Surveying
* Provide realistic net prices for Bids in accordance with prevailing market conditions
* Undertake site visits prior to tendering
* Read all tender documents and check that they are suitable for tendering purposes
* Formulate pricing strategies with colleagues
* Liaise with the consultant/client as appropriate in the tender preparation period
* Prepare building quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement
* Send out subcontractor packages
* Obtain subcontractor & supplier quotations
* Analyse returned quotations
* Develop programmes & method statements
* Prepare tender settlement sheet and attend tender settlement meetings
