Hill McGlynn logo
Hill McGlynn provides recruitment solutions for the Construction Industry alone, with an expertise that comes from many years specialising in just one field. Founded in 1976, the company has grown alongside the construction professionals working today, becoming a vital link between clients and candidates at home and abroad.
History

In 1976, Stephen Hill set up a new recruitment agency in Southampton, Hampshire, to recruit construction professionals for building projects in the UK and Middle East. At the time, he set himself the goal of creating a company that would become "the most influential human resourcing specialist in the construction industry".

Vision

Three decades later, and Hill McGlynn has more than lived up to such high aspirations, with an office in every major city, an international division, four overseas offices and hundreds of consultants serving the needs of construction clients and candidates around the world. Stephen Hill is still very much at the helm, now as Executive Chairman, supervising the strategic direction of the company in the UK and overseas.

Expertise

Hill McGlynn today specialises in construction in the broadest sense.

From bricklayers to main Board Directors, family-owned businesses to major contractors and Dagenham to Dubai - Hill McGlynn's recruitment solutions cover all construction disciplines, for all manner of clients, in all corners of the globe.

Candidate Services
Achieving career ambitions

Our candidates do not 'generalise' in construction, and neither do our consultants.

Each of our recruitment consultants specialises in just one industry sector, so when they talk to candidates they really do understand the terminology and jargon, the finer details of a job description, and the relevance of every piece of past experience.

Our aim is always to find the right job - not just any job - for each candidate's skills and ambitions.

We pay just as much attention to those seeking freelance as permanent positions, and provide an industry-leading level of support to freelance workers to ensure they are not disadvantaged by their temporary status.
