Quick Hit Business Tips

I have just joined a new company in a business development role – and whilst I am getting some success with some of my previous client contacts. I am struggling to open enough new doors with other clients. I know there isnt a magic solution, but just wondered if anyone else has some general tips – I network with candidates and client contacts and research recruitment trends via the internet – does anybody else have other useful ideas to generate some “quick hit” business

No Bonus After Leaving

My previous employer (a recruitment consultancy) whom I left just over a month ago is refusing to pay a significant bonus because the invoices were not settled before I resigned. The invoices have now been paid and the candidates I placed had started in the roles before I left. Is it fair and legal for an employer to do this on a technicality?

Looking For Work In Later Life

I was given the push from my sales office job after 3.5 years back in April, My job had changed the year before and the increased load of work was getting ever harder to cope with, I was feeling progressively down and fed up with it.

I am in my early 50′s now – not a good age to be unemployed! I’ve always been in office work but now the bias seems to be for jobs with lots of pressure attached and I’m doubting myself now and don’t know what to do next. The Agencies tell me is that “it is very quiet at the moment’ even on the temp front. Not sure if I should continue looking for office jobs or do something else? I don’t want to become de-motivated

Work Wont Re-employ Me After Sick Leave

I have been on long term sick leave motor accident and surgical treatment operations .My employer has stopped my payment but my post has been kept open. I have made a resonable recovery to enable me return to work but my boss is reluctant to re-deploy me as in her opinion she considers me unfit to effectively carry out my job in the light of the nature of illness I have had.

The medical team do not see any reason why Imay not perform my full time duties at the completion of my treatment programme but my boss is simply not interested in having me back. I have worked for this industry for 17 years prior to this problem. She has even suggested I try looking for jobs elsewhere . Please advise me on what’s my best options

Within my contract of employment it says I am entitled to a company car. He does not want to honour this due to not having a budget for it. He explained I have been issued the wrong contract. What can I do about this and can I legally demand the car?
Thanks in advance for you help.
