05 January 2012 – Jobsite returns to TV on Monday 9th January in a high impact nationwide campaign, which will run for 4 weeks across over 200 terrestrial and satellite channels as part of their continued commitment to reach the relevant candidates for their clients, wherever they are.
To maximise both the number of people that they reach with their campaign and the frequency that these people see the ads, Jobsite will again be running a combination of 30 and 10 second TV adverts around a diverse range of programmes. This, alongside the significant budget they invest, means that during the four weeks, they’ll reach 82.5% of the UK working population, with each individual seeing the ads an average of over 6 times.
When the new campaign was first run on TV in January 2011 it generated record breaking results, with both the highest number of visitors and highest number of applications in a day. TV has also been responsible for helping to increase Jobsite’s searchable CV database from 500,000 in September 2008 (pre TV) to 2.7million today.
The TV advertising is supported by extensive online activity including upweighted search engine marketing to ensure Jobsite is prominent for all types of job searches, a venture into pre-targeting banners to reach people who have never visited Jobsite, social media campaigns, display banners across leading UK sites, email activity and the highly effective dynamic display retargeting ads. There is also heavy presence on mobile through Jobsite’s partnership with O2 and increased spend on mobile PPC. Jobsite’s continued print advertising across national and regional titles, including the Metro and Daily Mail, and main club sponsorship of Portsmouth Football Club further complement the TV advertising to ensure they are highly visible to potential job seekers throughout the day in many different forms. Jobsite, one of the UK’s leading recruitment sites has teamed up with Portsmouth Football Club to offer a life changing CV-optimising opportunity to 18-22 year olds, culminating in a chance to visit Africa where they will be providing skills and support to develop youngsters and face up to the many challenges of growing up in communities plagued with poverty and hardship.
The initiative, named ‘Beyond Blue’ is a group community project designed to help improve employment opportunities and prepare futures of young people in the competitive job market that awaits them after education. It is another progressive project developed through Jobsite’s main club sponsorship of Portsmouth FC, along with local youth volunteer service Community Fusion and international volunteering and development charity Coaching For Hope.
The Beyond Blue project builds on the highly successful Premier League Into Work Scheme piloted by PFC and Jobsite back in 2009, the continuing scheme has so far resulted in an outstanding 62% of participants getting back into work.

16th November 2011 – The sixth annual Jobsite RecruitRank Awards took place on Tuesday night (15th November), to reward the country’s top performing recruitment agencies based on candidate feedback. Recognising best practice and customer service in recruitment agencies, the RecruitRank Awards are the only industry awards based purely on feedback from jobseekers and not the traditional peer judging panel.
Launched in November 2005 by Jobsite with the aim of reducing candidate jobhunting frustrations and raising industry standards, RecruitRank is an online tool that tiers recruitment agencies on a daily basis based purely on the experiences of jobseekers. It enables candidates to feed back anonymously on the quality of an agency’s service after they have applied for a vacancy advertised by them on Jobsite. In turn, recruiters have private access to this feedback, which allows them to monitor and, if necessary, improve their service offering.
The RecruitRank Awards recognise those agencies with outstanding customer service, who achieved the highest levels of positive feedback over a 12 month period. Jobseekers’ feedback determined the winners of the 11 award categories, with special congratulations to the winner of Best Recruiter Overall, which was awarded to Expion search & selection.
The categories and winners are:
- Low volume Jobsite user: Best Candidate Communication (Expion search & selection)
- High volume Jobsite user: Best Candidate Communication (Blue Octopus Recruitment Ltd)
- Low volume Jobsite user: Best Understanding of Candidate Needs (Kensington Consulting)
- High volume Jobsite user: Best Understanding of Candidate Needs (Protocol National)

Recognising best practice and quality customer service in recruitment agencies for the last 6 years.
Jobsite are pleased to announce the finalists for the Jobsite RecruitRank Awards 2011, taking place on Tuesday 15th November. Recognising best practice and quality customer service in recruitment agencies for the last 6 years, the RecruitRank Awards are the only awards in the industry where finalists and winners are chosen by feedback from candidates and not a panel of industry judges.
Jobsite’s innovative RecruitRank service developed in response to candidates’ needs, enables candidates to feedback anonymously on the quality of an agency’s service, after they have applied for a vacancy advertised by them on Jobsite. Recruiters have personal, private access to this free market research and it enables them to monitor and, if necessary, improve their service offering. The finalists within each category of the Awards were selected through a culmination of this feedback from candidates over a 12 month period.
Finalists are categorised by ‘High Volume Jobsite User’ and ‘Low Volume Jobsite User’. This enables us to fairly recognise even more first class agencies, by rating their performance against agencies attracting similar levels of candidate feedback through RecruitRank.
Many of the finalists appear in more than one category, which demonstrates that it is possible for recruitment agencies to provide an all-round excellent service to candidates. The finalists are listed in alphabetical order in each category.
