Whilst his latest film, Another Year, receives great reviews, award winning film director, Mike Leigh, is busy working on his latest project – a great script encouraging people to seek out the job they really want.
This is no feature film, but our latest TV adverts, starring British actor Max Beesley (Survivors, Hotel Babylon). Whilst the details of scripts are firmly under lock and key, we can reveal that the new ads build on the themes of our previous ad campaign – we’re here to help take the frustration out of your jobhunting – but with a little extra Mike Leigh magic.
The final day of filming is underway today, with the ads set to air for the first time on 10th January next year.
You don’t have to wait that long to catch a glimpse, as we managed to grab some sneaky photos on set. Click on the thumbnails for a closer look…

Well what a week for Jobsite! Let’s start with the facts.
Best Job Board – FACT, Recruitment International 5-a-side Champions – FACT.
The success started on Thursday when Jobsite won the “Best Job Board” award at the first ever Recruitment Consultant Awards. The award was for the job board that was the most user-friendly and well-designed for job seekers, has added functionality and dares to stand out from the crowd. We were up against stiff competition, so were very proud to bring the award back to Hampshire to be placed on the Jobsite mantelpiece.
It is truly a fantastic award for Jobsite as it recognises that we help to make job hunting quick & easy and is proof that we are seen as an innovative job board that stands out from our competitors. It also demonstrates that Jobsite is performing for candidates, which is a major factor in helping recruiters decide which job board to use.
Whilst we are on the subject of performance, Team Jobsite was invited to partake in the Recruitment International 5-a-side at Goals in Wimbledon yesterday. Over 30 teams were invited to play but there would only be one winner.

Portsmouth Football Club may have seen Drogba scupper their chances of FA Cup victory last weekend but there’s still a chance for Portsmouth to lift the cup. The Portsmouth Ladies under 12’s team are taking on the Southampton Allstars tomorrow in the Winchester District Girls Football League Cup Final.
We’re the shirt sponsor of both teams this season and are so excited that they’ve both made the Cup Finals. It’s even more impressive for the ladies team as they’re playing in the over 13’s league.
The picture opposite sees the ladies in their new training kit, which we provided to them ahead of their cup final game – let’s hope it brings them luck.

Winning an award against UK brands is very cool but being selected as the best when you’re against leading international brands is even better: Our mobile ad campaign has just won a Mobile Merit Award, which recognises excellence across the global mobile industry. To give you an idea of the scale of these awards, Nokia, Kodak and NBC also entered.
Together with our mobile agency, Yodel Digital, we entered the Jobsite mobile campaign, that ran at the beginning of this year, to scoop Best Brand Agency in the Mobile Marketing category.
We knew the campaign had been incredibly successful, delivering a 427% increase in traffic to the Jobsite mobile site, but to be selected by a panel of leading mobile industry executives, media and consultants is the ultimate kudos. The award wasn’t just based on overall success either but also on innovation, impact on the industry and social importance.

After the launch of our iPhone application
we felt it was vital to offer every mobile user a quick and easy way of searching and applying for jobs on Jobsite regardless of the handset they own. Our clever tech team have launched a mobile site which recognises the handset you are using, then automatically serves you a version of Jobsite that is optimised for your device. You no longer have to wait for content to load or laboriously navigate from left to right to view the entire page.
There are other benefits too, namely privacy and mobility. Job hunting is a very personal activity, so it seems only natural that you should be able to do it in private and at a time of your choosing regardless of where you are. Time is also often wasted when sitting on a bus or waiting for a train, so you can now better spend it by exploring potential careers and salaries from the palm of your hand. Recent statistics have shown that more people are accessing social network websites via their mobile than a desktop PC, so it’s clear the demand is already there.
