Heavyweight, nationwide campaign demonstrates Jobsite’s commitment to becoming the UK’s best known online recruiter
30th November 2009 – Jobsite today announce that
their award winning adverts, starring Max Beesley, will be returning to TV from the 4th January 2010. Supported by press and online activity, and running alongside their main club sponsorship of Premier League Portsmouth FC, Jobsite are the only job board undertaking such extensive and wide reaching activity to ensure they are front of mind for all jobseekers.
Jobsite’s national, highly targeted TV campaign will run for four weeks in the ad breaks of prime time programmes, across both terrestrial and satellite channels. The adverts build on the success of previous activity and continue to communicate the core Jobsite message of taking the hard work out of job hunting. In the current climate people want a job board partner who understands how tough job seeking is and is doing all they can to make finding a new job quicker and easier. The adverts also seek to reassure candidates that there are still thousands of new opportunities available.

If you’re thinking about going into the pub industry, now could be the ideal time, says Adam Pearson, owner of award-winning pub, The Noble, in London. Just make sure you follow his advice first.
Sociable people only need apply. Good people skills are the most important thing to have if you are a bar manager – you need to know how to have banter with the customers even when you don’t feel like it – and there will be many times like that!
- It’s all about the vibe. I love to see everyone having a good time after work – you can feel the good atmosphere when everyone’s enjoying themselves and that’s what it’s all about – that’s why I love this job.
- It’s not just a one-stop party. While the social side is important, there are other tasks that have to be done every day – paperwork is the main thing. Because we have so many suppliers and health and safety regulations there’s a huge amount of filing to be done. You need to keep on top of this or it can spiral out of control. Has anyone else glanced at their calendar today and
realised there are only 4 weeks until Christmas?
As usual, this time of year becomes a bit of a panic in the shops – realising I haven’t got all (or any) of the Christmas presents I need yet!
Well, at Jobsite we are making our own festive preparations too; but rather than buying presents, we are buying TV advertising space. Yes, January sees the return of our TV adverts starring Max Beesley, kicking off on 4th January 2010 in a nationwide campaign across terrestrial and satellite channels.

Last Wednesday night it was the annual Jobsite RecruitRank Awards and I think I can honestly say it was one of the best years ever.
We held it at Jewel in Piccadilly Circus
and invited the top performing recruitment agencies based on candidate feedback.
I’d just come from the quarterly DMGT board meeting, so after the seriousness of all that I was looking forward to the evening ahead (and the free bar!)

The Daily Mail’s new job board, MailOnline Jobs, has just been launched and is powered by Jobsite. Any vacancy that you place on Jobsite.co.uk will now automatically be posted to MailOnline Jobs
, at no additional cost.
Previously, the Daily Mail’s online jobs offering was a link through to Jobsite. The new MailOnline job board improves the candidate experience, by maintaining MailOnline branding as candidates search the site for jobs and offers tailored user-content for candidates e.g. CV writing tips, careers advice and interactive interview practice. We believe this will lead to better candidate engagement and consequently, more applications for your vacancies.
Figures from the Internet Advertising Bureau in August 09 revealed that MailOnline was the most popular UK newspaper website with 28.6 million unique users for that month.
Take a look at MailOnline Jobs and let us know what you think.
