As part of the countdown to TruLondon 4 we are bringing you the third show in our HR Happy Hour Europe series of live internet radio showsâŚand this time we will be previewing the event!
It will take place at 8.00pm on Wednesday 31st August, and our special guests will be Jason Lauritsen and Master Burnett, the two track leaders that we are flying over to the UK especially for TruLondon 4, taking the opportunity to set the scene for their own tracks over the two day event.

When we announced Jason Lauritsen as a guest track leader for the Jobsite sponsored TruLondon 4 we told you that he would bring a different perspective to challenge our thinking on Talent and Recruiting. After all, why call your business Talent Anarchy if youâre not going to try and re-write the rule book!
Now we bring you his second guest blog post, in which he gets to the heart of what talent is and why recruiting in itself is only part of the story.
“Iâm not sure exactly when this happened, but at some point in the last decade it became the trend to replace the functional description âRecruitingâ with âTalent Acquisitionâ. Â Donât get me wrong, Talent Acquisition sounds cool and progressive. Â It was in keeping with the other trends around HR to focus on Talent. Â However, I donât think the two mean the same thing. Â And, frankly, I think we still practice a whole lot more recruiting than we do talent acquisition. Â Hear me out.
