Poll results: preferred job perks
Our May – June 2010 poll* asked ‘Which benefit is the most important to you when you’re looking for a new job?’
The findings show that nearly half of the respondents believe that flexible working is the most important benefit for them – a benefit that gives those with e.g. child care or education commitments the flexibility they need at this time in their lives.
Results:
•   48% chose flexible working as their preferred benefit
•   29% are looking to the future, selecting a company pension
•   17% stated that a bonus scheme was the key benefit
•   7% opted for a company healthcare scheme
This sends a clear message to employers that their present and future employees need and highly value the flexibility to make their work and home lives work together.
*Survey base: 913 participants, May – June 2010.
