It is perhaps predictable that when a lot of us here at Jobsite heard about the Portsmouth FC sponsorship, one of our first reactions was, “When do we get our free shirt?”.  Cheeky, but you often don’t get much rock and roll action when slamming out the code which powers Jobsite.  Yes, I am a Lead Software Engineer here; pleased to meet you.

Next thing I know, we actually get an invite down to the club to pick up our free shirt!  It was a fun evening, where we not only got the shirt one day before the general public, but were able to meet some of the players and the manager.  Even watching a game you don’t really get the same appreciation of just how athletic they are until you see them in the flesh properly, (clearly I need to be working harder in my own sporting endeavours).  I probably didn’t have as much of the food on offer as I normally would have as a result of this.

Given the awesome cars in the car park (I should have tried taking to football more as a lad), I probably need to be working harder as well in order to potentially afford one.  So I will leave this blog post short and allow you to enjoy some video footage from the evening…
