Linvoy Primus shows support for JobAid

This week we launched JobAid, an initiative providing free job advertising for charities and organisations with volunteer roles.

As promised, here is the video of the launch day with interviewers with Peter Storrie CEO of Portsmouth FC and also Pompey player Linvoy Primus showing his support for the cause, plus Felix our Marketing Director explaining more about the initiative.

JobAid was launched on Monday at Fratton Park, home to the Jobsite-sponsored Portsmouth Football Club, who are also backing the scheme, along with the Premier League, Volunteering England and Community First for Portsmouth. Thank you to all our guests who attended, representing the charities and volunteering organisations of Hampshire and West Sussex.

We’re really excited to be leading this new initiative with the support of JobAid’s other partners. Our partnership with Pompey FC has allowed us to get involved with some great community projects such as piloting the Premier League’s Back to Work scheme. We are especially proud to be launching our new JobAid initiative, as this project was initially discussed on a local level with Portsmouth FC and volunteering organisation Community First for Portsmouth, and has grown in strength enabling us to roll it out nationwide.

Under the new scheme, any charity or volunteer jobs can be advertised on Jobsite for free, enabling those organisations to reduce their running costs and ensure more of their funds can be directed to their good causes.

For job seekers the initiative provides further opportunities to get back into employment and volunteering or charity work can also be a beneficial addition to your CV, helping you stand out from other applicants. Take a look at some of the great charity and volunteering roles appearing on the site thanks to the launch of JobAid.
