Poll results: mobile job hunting
Our November 2010 poll asked ‘How do you use your mobile to search for jobs?’
The survey findings show that 17% of respondents currently use their mobiles to check their job alert emails, with a further 6% using apps to search for jobs and 1% who search job sites directly.
Jobsite recognised the growth potential of mobile and launched our mobile site back in 2002, at a time when using your phone to browse the web was very new. Eight years on and mobile is becoming a popular way to job hunt, combining the quick and easy experience people expect, with the privacy and accessibility they need during the working day.
Between January and November 2010, mobile traffic for Jobsite increased by over 135% with visits from mobile now representing over 6% of our total visits. This is amazing growth over a short space of time and these numbers continue to grow at a fantastic rate.
