Talking HR and the Future Workplace
Hot on the heels of yesterday’s Onrec conference (we’ll be bringing you a blog on that soon) tomorrow will see us take part in the 3rd ConnectingHR Unconference.
ConnectingHR is a fast growing social community of HR professionals and their unconference events tend to be both collaborative and attendee driven, with community members undertaking the organisational duties whilst the topics for discussion are suggested by attendees both in advance, and during informal conversations at the start of the day. This latter method is known as World Café.
The participants will be drawn from HR practitioners, consultants, journalists and suppliers, ensuring a wide range of views, insights and experiences. There are no sponsors at this event – we’re there as an active participant!
Tomorrow’s unconference has the theme ‘HR and the New World of Work’ and will look to debate two key questions:
- Are existing organisation models sustainable in a new economic future?
- What is the future model of ‘employment’?
There will be no doubt also be many twists and turns around the subject matter, taking in engagement, resourcing, performance management and learning!
If you are an HR professional or consultant and would like to get involved, then there are still a few places left. You can register here.
We’ll be bringing you some of the highlights on the @JobsiteUK twitter stream, and will blog here about our key learnings afterwards.
