Our client is the leading full-line, full-service cooling tower and air-cooled condenser manufacturer. Founded more than 100 years ago and have more than 250 global patents in the power generation, industrial, refrigeration, and HVAC markets.



THE JOB

CAD DESIGNER

Due to continued success and expansion my client is now looking to recruit an additional Cad designer to compliment their design team.

Based at the clients Worcestershire offices the main purpose of the role is described below.



Essential Functions and Duties:

1.Provide technical support to the Sales & Contracts Departments on product design.

2.Visit site as necessary either to determine scope of supply or the design of the product.

3.Design & detail manufactured components, General Arrangement & Installation drawings.

4.Prepare Bills of Materials, requisition non-stocked parts of the design.

5.Liaise with Sales & Contracts to ensure that all work is clearly defined & completed by an agreed date.

6.Negotiate with Contracts to minimise the impact of any changes in 'scope of supply'.

7.Prioritise workload to meet contract time scales.

8.Be able to work unsupervised and with accuracy.

Specify new materials within defined guidelines.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

HNC/HND or above to degree standard in Mechanical Engineering and/or time served to City & Guilds, experience in closely related industry.

At least 5 years AutoCAD experience, including 3D environments.

At least 2 years Solid Edge experience (or other 'Solid Modelling' package)

Experience of Sheet metal environments

Good working experience using Microsoft Excel & Word.

Good working experience of SAP or similar 'Integrated Business System' or 'Enterprise Resource Planning' system would be advantageous although not essential.


REMUNERATION

Basic Salary £25k-£30k(depending on experience) 36.5 hrs per week (8.30-5 Mon-Thursday & 8.30-4 with one hour lunch)
HSA Workwell Health Scheme, Pension , 25 Days annual holiday, plus statutory days, plus one day flexi - holiday, Opportunity to buy or sell up to 5 days holiday per annum, Eligible for Associate Bonus Participant Plan - up to 10% annual payout
