Design Draftsman

Design Draftsman Salary £18 26k (depending on exp) North Yorkshire Based Permanent Position

Premier North East Piping and Flow Assurance Manufacturer has immediate opening for a Design Draftsman.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing Product General Arrangement Drawings c/w all engineering and design data, which will be issued to clients for review and approval.
Producing Detailed Engineering Design and Product Component Drawings for the manufacturing departments.
Producing Product Bills of Materials, via Computer Software, both for procurement activities and to accompany product drawings to the manufacturing departments.
Compilation and issuing of Manufacturing Data packages to the manufacturing departments.
Assist when needed with the expediting of purchase order and subcontractors.
Carrying out sales order contract reviews and assign products part numbers.
Project Engineering.
Assisting with obtaining external costs i.e. subcontract machining, purchased parts etc.
Assisting with subcontract / supplier control and management.

Experience/Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of five years design Draftsman experience in a pressure vessel or piping related role
Conversant with international pressure vessel and piping design codes, ASME, PD5500 etc.
Good Communication skills.
Computer skills in Word/Excel for the production of progress and cost reports, fabrication, test and inspection plans and procedures.
2D/ 3D Drafting skills using Soildworks and AutoCad.
