Draughtsperson

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Draughtperson. Based in Bath, Somerset working with a great team.

Key tasks for the Draughtsperson:

- To provide drawings for manufacture and assembly.
- To provide back up to Sales department in the form of preparation of submittals.
- To liaise when necessary with subsidiaries and licensees.
- To prepare necessary engineering change reports.
- To assist in the maintenance of product quality standards.
- To assist in the generation of CAD and drawing office standards.
- To be aware of necessary approvals and certification requirements for each application.
- To liaise with the Product Assessment department in the testing of various assemblies.
- To liaise with suppliers of proprietary and our designed products, clarifying technical and other queries.
- To assist production when necessary to ensure assembly is trouble free.
- To be fully conversant with company products.
- To be fully conversant with the set-up and maintenance of engineering
elements of the manufacturing system.

Requirements for the Draughtsperson:
- Enthusiasm and self motivation is a must for this role.
- HNC or equivalent in engineering - mechatronics would be desirable. An engineering apprenticeship followed by experience in engineering drawing office procedures.
- A working knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage, as would experience in working environments where project management is practiced.
