Naval/ Ship Draughtsperson Bristol
A Naval Draughtsperson is currently required for our large defence Naval company based in Bristol for an initial 6 month contract.
The role will include-
*Developing scantling plans, sketches and design details from tabular scantling data provided.
*Liaison with engineers undertaking work at other sites (possibly involving travel within the UK).
*Working closely with scantling engineers to ensure scantling plans are updated with correct scantling revision.
*Liaison with Lloyd's Register, largely through a Lloyd's Register secondee embedded within the structures team.
*Progress reporting to the scantling plan development Lead Engineer - Seats, Hotwork and Lifting or Lead Draughtsperson.
The ideal candidate would ideally have-
*HNC in an Engineering discipline or Shipyard Draughtsman apprenticeship
*2D AutoCAD Lite skills
*3D CADDS5 skills/appreciation
*5 years experience in a shipyard or ship design environment as a steelwork draughtsperson
*Experience in the production pf naval ship scantling plans
