Mechanical Draughtsman/ Design/ Project Engineer, Birmingham

A successful manufacturer of systems used in the oil and gas industry, is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join it's site in Birmingham.

ROLE
-Produce General arrangement and P&ID drawings in Solidworks
-Create Bills of Materials
-Liaise with customers to ensure compliance to specifications and deliveries
-Produce certification and O&M manuals for projects
-Handling multiple projects running concurrently from initial conception to delivery and post delivery support
-Attend client's premises as required both in the UK and potentially overseas
-Assist sales team with sourcing and specifying suitable product from sub-suppliers
-Reading and advising on customers specifications

REQUIREMENTS
-Proficient in Solidworks or similar

Advantageous: knowledge of pressure vessels, medium fabrication work and pipework, or electrical background and understanding
