We are looking to recruit an Electrical CAD Technician whose main duties would include:


The preparation of 2D and drawings in support of engineers and surveyors.
Prepare drawings as programme/workload demands.
Manage the reasonable provision of a hard copy printing service for others on request.
Carry out measured surveys as necessary.
Establish and maintain quality systems and procedures.
Manage the protection of all drawings, including the safekeeping of back-ups etc.
Responsible for drawing issues and maintaining drawing control registers for projects.
Able to develop schematic layout and cable sizing under supervision of senior electrical engineers.


Other Duties

Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.

Your qualifications and experience
Basic awareness of electrical building services design.
IT skills - use of Access, Word, Excel packages.
CAD skills - use of AutoCad essential, Hevacomp or AMTECH would be beneficial.
Ability to work as member of team.



Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in building services design or co-ordination.
Reasonable knowledge of latest CAD software and hardware requirements and developments.
ONC electrical engineering (would be beneficial)
