This role is for a FTS100 global business who produce electronics products to both consumer and business.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Support & Operations Engineer to join their service team.This role would offer a high level of involvement across the whole spectrum of aftersales support with scope to become involved in project positions once you have established yourself within the business. The successful candidate will largely manage their own workload in a fast moving service environment. The role will be office based with a need to operate in the field as and when a situation arises.
Responsibilities:
• Technical support internally and externally to authorised service providers’, our customer contact centre and also to our customers.
• Technical training delivery; to accredited service suppliers, call centre agents (internal & external). While much of the material is created by HQ, local development of material and delivery of is a requirement of this role.
• Service & Product Quality Evaluation; Both in the field and also internally within the business and this will include the requirement for full and detailed reports on findings together with recommendations,
• Product investigations in consumers’ homes: often at short notice, so a flexible approach to work is required. It is also important that the successful candidate has good customer care and handling skills together with experience in the aftersales care area and ideally a working knowledge of technical and environmental legislation.
• Creation of in depth technical reports; Analysis of data from across all aftersales areas, to support the improvement of service delivery for both internal and external customers. This role also includes working with the factories in any area of technical issue.
• This role will also involve the processing of and reporting on supplier warranty repair claims, therefore a working knowledge of warranty repair claims handing previously would be expected for this role.
The skills your need:
• Previous Service Engineering experience with Home Electrical Appliances
• Strong Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Strong Microsoft office skills for reporting and analysis.
• Self-motivated and flexible to be able to meet the needs of growing business.
• Ability to work under pressure to often meet tight timescales is a requirement.
Language skills (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Arabic, etc.) may be a bonus.
