Beechwood Court is a lovely secluded house with a friendly, family atmosphere set in 9 acres of woodland on the lower slopes of beautiful Conwy Mountain.
Ideal for Church and family holidays; youth groups and schools; individual breaks and retreats, Beechwood Court can accommodate around 60 guests and has 3 lounges, an outdoor multi-sports court, children's play area and bonfire and BBQ facilities.
We currently have a vacancy for a HEAD OF BEDROOMS
To ensure that bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms, shower facilities and guests’ laundry room(s) are kept in a clean, neat and tidy condition, that appropriate additional items, e.g. bedding, soap, towels, tea- and coffee-making supplies, are made available prior to guest arrivals, and as and when during their stay
Duties and responsibilities:
Supervise staff assigned to bedroom duties, ensuring they are adequately trained and instructed so as to work effectively and efficiently
Ensure the thorough cleaning, changing and tidying of all bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms, shower facilities, guest and house laundry room, corridors, passages, stairways and landings, especially during a changeover
Day-to-day checking of all bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms, shower facilities, guest and house laundry room, corridors, passages, stairways and landings to ensure they remain clean and tidy, including emptying waste bins, cleaning washbasins and en suite facilities, replacing tea- and coffee-making supplies, vacuuming carpets etc.
Collect and check soiled linen, separate and launder items for in-house washing, properly label and despatch contract linen to the laundry and check same on return
Advise the Centre Managers weekly of quantities of linen in stock and being returned to the laundry, notifying any extras required and any surplus not required
Advise the Centre Managers of requirements for replacing cleaning materials, toilet rolls, bedroom supplies, damaged or missing bedding and related items
Immediately on discovery, report to the Centre Managers in writing damage to the contents of bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms, shower facilities, guest and house laundry room, corridors, passages, stairways and landings, so that repair or replacements can be initiated. Where appropriate, carry out any such minor repairs.
Such other duties as may be required from time to time and which are compatible with the position
