An Assistant Financial Accountant / Accounts Clerk is required to reports to the Senior Accountant for an engineering / manufacturing in Chippenham (Wiltshire). Purpose of the role: This is a temporary contract (4 - 6 months plus) to cover an employee internal secondment to a project. Principal accountabilities: * Support the Senior Accountant in month end reporting * Preparation of... * Co-ordination of balance sheet reconciliations file * Overdues reporting * Manage foreign currency contracts * Bank account revaluations * Manage & maintain monthly exchange rates in system * System 'super user' role on GL and AR * Other ad hoc duties Essential competencies: * Minimum 3 years experience in accounting roles * Part-Qualified CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent * Good problem solving skills * Highly competent in excel data analysis and modelling techniques (pivot tables, data lookups, etc) * Quickly able to learn how to find information in new IT systems * Able to work on own initiative with little supervision...
