University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust BRISTOL EYE HOSPITAL We invite applications for a full-time fellowship post in Vitreo-retinal Surgery for a 12 month period. The fellowship provides advanced sub-specialty training in posterior segment surgery and medicine, but the emphasis will be on the surgical management of vitro-retinal disorders. The post will support the team of 4 Vitreo-retinal Consultants .... /or A+E should the need arise. The Bristol Eye Hospital (BEH) is a Regional Centre for Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology sits within the Division of Surgery, Head and Neck within UH Bristol. BEH provides a tertiary referral retina service with an integrated medical retina and VR service closely linked to a new Clinical Research Unit. VR surgery is carried out in two of the four ophthalmic theatres in BEH. The new Retinal Unit Outpatients Department is supported by an excellent medical imaging department.
