My client is a unique focal point for the global tin producing and using industries, and, although originally a research based organisation, the activities of ITRI are increasingly influenced by issues of sustainability, for example, consideration of toxicological, environmental, health and safety, or social and community related concerns. Effectively managing these issues also requires us to understand the complete life... market statistics, promoting the efficient use of natural resources and considerations for ethical trading. They may also be required to contribute to other areas of ITRI activity, for example, drafting market reports, or providing relevant regulatory input into technological research projects. The candidate should have a degree in a relevant scientific subject (materials science, mining, chemistry, toxicology etc.) and a general understanding of, or willingness to learn aspects of all disciplines. An interest in regulatory affairs and the ability to rapidly evaluate complex issues and documents is also essential.
