Mechanical Design Engineer - 3D FEA Inventor/Manufacturing - to 35k - South Coast Good FEA (finite element analysis) and Stress skills required, knowledge of rubber or plastics would be an advantage. The Design Engineer has responsibility for the complete design project, from technical proposal through to after sales support. This includes system calculations, modelling, detailed component design, stress analysis using advanced FEA, mould and tool design, supplier liaison, process development, type-testing, project management, support documentation and customer support throughout. The Design Engineer will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar and 5+ years experience in a relevant role. Experience in any of the following would be advantageous - rail vehicles, suspension systems, anti-vibration, stress analysis/FEA, mould design, rubber moulding or castings/forgings. Experience of CAD is essential - preferably Autocad/Inventor - and familiarity with manufacturing systems would be useful. Commutable from Portsmouth, Brighton, Worthing, Bognor Regis, Horsham and surrounding areas.
