Below you will find the answers to the most commonly asked questions about our courses. If you are unable to find the answer to your
question here, please contact us and we will endeavour to provide an answer as quickly as possible.
Do I get a qualification/certification on completion of the course?
Many of our courses provide you with all the necessary learning to sit the relevant exam. The exams need to be arranged separately with the appropriate examining body.
Can I speed up the time it takes to load the course pages?
If you are accessing the courses over a telephone or ISDN line, disable the Animated Lesson Introductions and Sound Effects in the My Preferences page of the course.
This will significantly reduce the time it takes to load the course pages.
What browser version do I need to take the courses?
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. Netscape is NOT supported.
When clicking "Do It" while taking a course, I am taken to a white page with a Shockwave link.
Authorware Web Player is a plug-in that expands the functionality of the browser. Some courses make limited use of Authorware Web Player in order to more closely
simulate the actual application. These product simulations are optional, so you don't have to download this plug-in. If you decide to run the simulations, download the
latest version of Authorware Web Player to view the course. After clicking the Authorware Web Player link on the white page, follow the instructions for downloading and
installing the version of Authorware Web Player appropriate for your version of Windows.
The orientation or lesson introductions aren't loading. Why?
Macromedia Flash Player is used for course introductions and activities, but is NOT required to take the courses. If you do not already use Macromedia Flash 6.0, we propose several options.
You may upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0, which includes Macromedia Flash 6.0, or download the Macromedia Flash 6.0 plugin.
If you do not have Macromedia Flash 6.0, skill assessment modules will not include simulations and courses will include animated .gifs in place of Flash movies and static text in place of the lesson introductions.
I'd like to report an error in one of the courses. Who should I contact?
Send the URL of the Web page and a description of the error to elearning@jobsite.co.uk.
I have forgotten my login details. How do I login?
If you cannot remember your login details please email elearning@jobsite.co.uk to arrange for your details to be sent to you.
