      Assistant General Manager

      22-24k + bonus + tips + benefits| SO15 1QF| Permanent

      The Company and the Role:

      Working for an exciting and vibrant European / Mediterranean style restaurant and bar. The Company offers a great opportunity for an Assistant General Manager to join their new team, with a view to career development and progression.

      This is a full time permanent position based in the centre of Southampton.

      The venue is part of a well-known boutique group of bars and restaurants, offering a wide range and styles of fresh menu choices and uniquely themed drinks lists.

      The Company is offering 48 hours per week (including weekends and evenings). With a basic salary ranging from 22K - 24K plus tips and bonus on top and a host of additional benefits.

      Key Features of the Role:

      As Assistant General Manager, you will assist the General Manager in all duties which will include; cashing up, employee scheduling, using HR software, stock control, stock ordering and company compliance in a trendy European / Mediterranean restaurant.

      It's your job to manage a team both front and back of house on a daily basis, to ensure that the customer's expectations are met and exceeded every time they visit.

      Working from your own initiative and helping to create ideas and promotions / marketing to push the business forwards, and to increase footfall.

      You will be a great team player with good organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a very busy restaurant and bar, where the Company's reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality, is second to none.

      Knowledge and Skills:

      You must be an accomplished Assistant Manager, currently working in a bar or restaurant environment, at a similar level of seniority.

      You must have a Catering and Hospitality industry background showing progression up to a level of seniority, utilizing excellent customer service skills and desire to exceed expectations.

      You should possess ambition to continually push yourself to move up to the next career level.

      Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.

      You will be an excellent team player and leader who can respectfully communicate to a team, with a proven track record of working from your own initiative.

      What's on Offer?

      As an Assistant General Manager, your standard contracted working hours will be 48 hours per week (including weekends and evening). 22.000 - 24,000 basic plus tips and bonus.
