      This role works as part of a Security Operations Centre (SOC) team to deliver technical provisioning and support to group-wide customers of the INTEROUTE Security services portfolio.

      This includes taking support calls by telephone, email and via web portals.
      Person Specification Skills / Aptitude: The ability to speak empathetically and professionally with customers in all circumstances.
      Able to multi task and manage multiple issues without compromising service levels.
      Good communication skills, both oral and written.
      Good attention to detail.
      Willing and able to work 24/7 shifts
      Able to follow an agreed procedure/process.
      Personal commitment to deliver a high standard of customer satisfaction.

      Job Responsibilities:

      The jobholder must take responsibility for and ownership of all incidents, service requests and queries through to resolution with focus on first time fix metrics and on meeting customer expectations. They are technically able to priorities and catergorise the majority of security service faults covering the standard product portfolio and to initiate the correct processes for resolution.

      Some key elements of the role are to respond to and complete both customer and internal requests for operational firewall configuration changes and complete required debugging across of a variety of firewall vendor platforms.

      Experience Required:

      Good experience of working in a networking/security technical support environment in a customer facing role
      Solid knowledge and working understanding of the MSP/ISP Industry and typical services
      Experience of using, logging and documented technical issues in a ticket managing system
      Experience of using and maintaining network / security management tools

      High level knowledge and understanding of networking and security services, including but not limited to the following, typically from working in a networking environment:


      Firewalls
      IPSec & SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) VPN (Virtual Private Networks)
      Network Address Translation (NAT)
      Web content filtering E

      Knowledge of at least two of the following security product vendor solutions:

      Cisco ASA firewalls
      Juniper NetScreen/SSG firewalls
      Palo Alto Next-Generation firewalls
      FortiGate firewalls
      Cisco ScanSafe Cloud Web Security
      Z-Scaler Cloud Web Security E
