      Job Title: Service Development Manager

      Location: Basingstoke

      Salary: 32,000

      Position: Permanent

      Our Client has recently been commissioned to deliver 2 new contracts in 2 new local authority areas:

      • MEAM Rough Sleeper Outreach Service in Basingstoke & Deane; and
      • Homeless Prevention Service in Swindon.

      They are looking to expand their team of Service Development Managers to provide management and leadership for these 2 new services, and increase their capacity to respond to new business opportunities in these and other areas.

      Main Duties and Responsibilities:

      Management of existing commissioned services, ensuring that they deliver high quality interventions to the identified client base and that these interventions are based on current best practice. Ensure that services meet and exceed commissioner targets and work in partnership with key voluntary and statutory agencies as well as with the wider communities in which they work

      Clear line management of staff teams, which focuses on effectiveness, compliance with agreed organisational expectation and the development of individual staff and teams.

      Through development of relationships with local commissioners and strategic partners, identify and develop business opportunities, with support from our cleint's Senior Managers, for the growth of our client's services across key target Local Authority areas.

      Required Qualifications and Experience:

      The post holder will need to have experience of:

      • working with clients with complex needs which include rough sleeping and homelessness,
      • managing and developing staff teams to meet their maximum potential,
      • innovating and responding to changing client group and/or commissioner needs,
      • report writing and presenting to diverse groups which include, commissioners, strategic partners, community and faith based groups,
      • managing a service budget,
      • identifying business opportunities and progressing these with organisational support,
      • working within organisational established equal opportunities and health and safety frameworks
